Course Description

EPO-100: Introduction to the Standardized Emergency Management System and the National Incident Management System

This training course is intended to provide a basic overview of SEMS, including reference to the law and regulations, standard terms, management structures, principles and definitions. This course also satisfies the federal guidelines for integration of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) by incorporating the unique elements of the NIMS-700 introductory course. 

Taking the Training: Important Facts

Time Required – Approximately 2 hours

Software Required – The training is provided in a video-streaming format. You must have Adobe FLASH player version 10 installed on your computer to view the video. If you need this software, please contact your IT support staff. If you have the rights to load software, you may down load the software for free at http://www.adobe.com. 

Course Test – You will have 3 opportunities to pass the test, with a grade of 70% or better. 

Training Certificate – After passing the test, please print the certificate and give a copy to your supervisor
