Please Review This Important Information Prior to Taking Classes

General Instructions:
Instructions will be provided as you navigate through the training pages. You will be offered the following guidance as you proceed through the training.

  1. Register (Or login if you have already registered on the site.)
  2. Select the course you want to take
  3. Print the participant materials prior to viewing the training videos (PDF handouts)
  4. Watch the training videos (You may pause the video if you need to.)
  5. Pass the test (You will be given 3 opportunities to pass with a 70% passing grade.)
  6. Print the Certificate and give a copy to your supervisor

Training Courses Offered
These training courses will provide guidance needed to implement family emergency plans and increase the capacity of Department personnel to provide important public health services during an emergency.

Disaster Service Worker (DSW)
The DSW course is the first course in a sequence of emergency preparedness classes and is required for all CDPH employees.

EPO-100: Introduction to SEMS/NIMS
This course provides a basic overview of the Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS) and the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
